The house is located on a 25 degree hillside overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The topography is decisive in the architectural design, generating a large inclined slab supported by 15 concrete columns. The commission was focused on enhancing the slab as a skin illuminated evenly from the inside, for which LED luminaires are mounted on the floor in some of the columns. It worked only from some faces of them to highlight their shapes through the backlight and contrast with the illuminated slab.
